The Property Management and Inventory Control department maintains the University’s centralized equipment inventory and reporting system. Inventory data is available to department chairs, department heads, and student groups to help them maintain local inventories for which they are responsible. It is the goal of Property Management to assist in providing pertinent information to help meet each department’s strategic planning goals.
If a department makes the determination that an item is considered to be unserviceable, the department can provide Property Management with a detailed list of the inventory items to surplus, and can also request disposal. Property Management will be responsible for inspecting the item(s) and making the determination of the method of disposition that will be in the best interest of the University.
